Jones had been gone for over a year when the slave went out to look for his master one last time on Cole Mountain, and he was never seen again, either. Witnesses started reporting strange activity on the mountain, including a ball of light that hovers up and down the side of the mountain at night. Rumor has it that the light is the lantern from the slave who is looking for Jones.
