Haunting Season at Ridgefield Farm and Orchard.

Ridgefield Farm & Orchard is a family-friendly destination farm a little over an hour from Washington, DC and Baltimore and serves four surrounding states. Each year thousands of folks visit the farm to participate in activities throughout the year. From picking up summer produce at our farm store, to picking flowers, apples, pumpkins and cutting their own Christmas tree, visitors consider it their Farm Experience for Every Season.

October Fun – Pumpkins and more!
Ridgefield Farm is open for Pumpkin Picking Thursdays through Sundays in October. Join us Saturdays and Sundays for our PumpkinFest. In addition to the regular fun activities, we offer hayrides on these weekends.

Pick Your Own Flowers:
Take a leisurely stroll through our beautiful cutting garden and choose from a bounty of Zinnias and other seasonal favorites. Flower picking is perfect for Moms’ groups, scout troops, home schoolers and anyone who needs flowers for tonight’s dinner table. We provide the scissors and the butterflies. Bring your own container to hold your flowers. Flower-picking begins July 14 and often runs into October, or whenever we run out of flowers.

From Frederick, MD and East, cross over Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. Go 2.5 miles and turn Right on 230 N. (toward Shepherdstown). In a few seconds you’ll be in Halltown. Turn right at the stop sign to stay on 230. Go 3 miles and turn right on our street, Kidwiler Road. There is a large Ridgefield Farm sign on the corner. The farm is ahead on the right. From Hagerstown, MD: Take Rt 65 South towards Sharpsburg, MD. In Sharpsburg turn right onto Rt 34 toward Shepherdstown, WV. At Shepherdstown, turn left at 4-way stop to Rt 230 South toward Harpers Ferry. After 1 mile, bear LEFT at the Y in the road to stay on 230. Turn LEFT onto Kidwiler at the Ridgefield Farm sign. Farm is ahead on right.
